Museum Free Days!!

The holiday crowds have dispersed and so once again, several Chicago museums are offering free admission days.  Typically you will need to show proof of IL residency with your driver’s license or other ID.  Check out the list below to visit a new or favorite museum!

Adler Planetarium

February 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 25, 26, 27, 28

March 5, 6

The Art Institute (kids 13 and under are always free)

Every weekday from January 7th through February 13th.

The Brookfield Zoo

Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays through February 28th.  Admission to the Hamill Family Play Zoo is free through February 28th.

Chicago History Museum (always free for kids 12 and younger)

February 4-28

March 4

The Field Museum

February 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 19, 20, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27, 28

March 6, 7

John G. Shedd Aquarium

February: Mondays and Tuesdays and Sunday, Feb. 17th

March: Mondays and Tuesdays

Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA)

Free every Tuesday all year. Family Days (free for families with children 12 and under) are every second Saturday of the month from 11am-3pm between October and May.

Museum of Science and Industry

Wednesdays February 6, 13, 20, 27

Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum (across from Lincoln Park Zoo)

Free every Thursday.
