Symptoms

 

We believe that a parent is often the first to show concern for their child’s a speech and language development.  There are a number of reasons that a child may need a speech and language evaluation. The following is a partial list:

Does your child: Have difficulty following directions? Have difficulty being understood by others? Have difficulty imitating sounds? Struggle to express wants and needs? Have a hard time carrying on conversation? Struggle to get his/her thoughts down on paper? Refuse to try new foods or have a significantly limited list of foods that he/she will eat? Still drool after age 2? Sound hoarse or lose his/her voice frequently? Sound nasal? Show frustration when trying to get words out?
