Physical therapy can identify and treat problems with movement, posture, body position or alignment. It can help children to acquire motor skills such as rolling, sitting, crawling and walking. Some children's therapy needs may be short term for torticollis, late walkers, or postural issues. Other children's needs may require a longer period of time as might be the case for a child with a developmental delay, cerebral palsy, spina bifida, Down Syndrome or autism.
