December 2017 edition of the Wee Speech Newsletter.

Form Updates 2018!
Every year we ask families to update the information that we have need to have on file for them. This year, you will be able to update your information online in an easy, confidential format. Watch your email for the link!

We Continue to Learn
This month Julie participated in coursework on speech production, resonance disorders and velopharyngeal disorders. Our entire team will be attending the Illinois Speech and Hearing Convention in February. We will share some of the information that we learn in this newsletter.

We Continue to Grow
Wee Speech welcomes Janelle Snyder M.S., CCC to our team beginning in January. Janelle comes to us from a pediatric clinic in California. She will be seeing children at the clinic in the after school hours.

Graduate Students in the Clinic
Courtney is Wee Speech’s current graduate student clinician from Elmhust College who is graduating in May 2018. She has been working with both Devin Manning and Whitney Klein over the semester to gain experience in all areas of speech pathology. Courtney has been observing and providing therapy with supervision to a variety of clients in the clinic. She has developed a great interest in the area of Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) and has created a presentation regarding treatment approaches for children with this disorder. Courtney will be leaving our clinic shortly, but if you see her around don’t hesitate to say hello! We will miss Courtney and we wish her the best in her future career.

Speech Services at ACHDS
Wee Speech is excited to announce that we are available to see children at Arie Crown for individual speech services. If you would like your child to be seen, please call the Wee Speech office at your earliest convenience as we only have a few spots available. Children would be seen weekly for 45 minute sessions. Sessions would be billed to in network insurance companies.

We look forward to hearing from you!
